Annarose Colucci | Amputated

There has never been a more perfect place

For my head to lay

Than the gap at the center of his chest.

If the heat is broken and my window is cracked

There has never been a more perfect place

For my frozen body to lay

Than intertwined with his legs

And

Arms

Hands and

Feet.

I don’t remember when our bodies turned to one.

I remember his fingers wrapped with mine

And realizing

how hard it was going to be

to detach
